I reattached the clutch rod at the bottom, so 5 is back up and running.

5 also had a problem with it's pin wheel. The wheel would freeze up every now and again, and just stop moving. After a few moments, it would start moving again. Sometimes it wouldn't even start back moving, very strange. I looked into it. Turns out, it's assembly shifted a bit, due to a lose bolt and missing spring. I lined it back up, tightened it back up, and reattached it's spring. seems to run fine now.

Other then that, nothing really happened, it was a really slow brunch, so there wasn't a whole lot of room for error.

Problems with lanes:
Lane 4- There were a few deck jams tonight, due to the locking mechanism (or lack thereof) on the spider. Since it refused to lock into place after the pin drop into the deck, the pins would continue to slip through onto or into the deck, depending on the luck of the draw.

Lane 5 - Well, aside from the usual finicky light situation, there were several turnaround pan jams. That is, of course, when pins are unable to fully turnaround in the pan (hence the name) and instead, lay perpendicular to the pan, causing the pins behind it to jam themselves in nooks and crannies.

Lane 5 also stopped detecting balls right after I got six going (story of which is below). After trying everything I could think, I noticed that the solenoid rod was not moving properly - the pin at the bottom of the rod had fallen out. After an easter egg hunt, I found it and was able to insert it back in its rightful spot - however, to insure that it doesn't come out again, there needs to be an x--washer affixed to it. It's in a bit of a tricky area that I cannot access very well without taking somethings apart. As I don't know what that could do to the machine, I have left it for Danny to do tomorrow. The machine is quite runnable - but that pin could technically slide out whenever so it should be a last option.

Lane 6- Also stopped detecting balls. The reset mechanism on both the lane and the pit wasn't working. When moving the solenoid by hand, the machine refused to respond, though there was a "click" upon impact. At first, I thought it was the solenoid maybe burning out (it doesn't look very good). When I had more time to inspect the lane, I figured I would try everything the manual said it could be that didn't require an adjustment. I removed the clutch drive belt and put it back on, fiddled with the springs on the clutch engage mechanism, tightened the bolt on the indexing trip lever, checked to see if the full deck signal had been engaged - and somewhere between all of that, I got the machine to work. So yay!

6 also did released the 5pin into the chute but it didn't trigger the release of the deck. This has been a problem that danny hasn't experienced much but seems to be a regular for me.

Lane 8 - There were a few deck jams caused mainly by turret jams. The third pin on the turret was not sitting properly on the spider, tipped back and the head of the pin caught, and the turret was unable to move. I adjusted the turret and pin so that it could rotate properly when a pin went between the space in the turret and nearly caused another deck jam. There was also a pin laying horizontally across the 5pin chute, which somehow didn't jam the machine. I removed it during play so that it wouldn't.

Over the past couple of weeks, I am failed to blog, but no more.

I have done a lot of work on the skeeball machines, they all seem to be running much better over all. Still some problems everyone now and again, but not near as many as there were two weeks ago. I do need to order some more scoring switches, that is something I am going to talk to Ryan about soon. Plus this blog is going to start being sent to Ryan and Adrian, as well, so everyone stays in the loop.

Skeeball aside, light bulbs are all stocked up and I am doing my best to keep up with them. If anyone ever see's one out, let a brother know.

I have literally done to many things to the lanes to remember, but on the bright side, I haven't had to do anything to big. Kris and Brain did a great job taking care of lane 4 a couple of days ago, good job kiddos. I am still always working on the little kinks going on with each individual lane.

I am working on a new Maintenance sheet for weekly, Bi-weekly and monthly maintenance. It should be finished soon.

Plus Shlee had her first little bit of training today, she did well and seemed to understand things well. All three of us, through out the next week will all have some training with her, just so ya'll know.

Problems with lanes:

The usuals with the usuals. But onto the more interesting topic:

Lane 4.

So, man bowls into rake as machine is completing 360 cycle, (so from 270 to 360 or, in case I'm completely off about the cycles, from when the rake is at the back of the pit and then moves forward again to allow the deck to set down.) Brian witnesses as the ball is knocked all the way back down the lane.

Next cycle or so, the rake has become stuck on the deckshoe and the pit cushion has fallen off on the right side.

Brian and I wrangled the pit cushion back into place - it more violently popped into place than anything. Then using the clutch, moved the deck and rake back into place. When the rake was stuck on the deck, it was bent but seems to have returned to normal shape.

Ran through one cycle, everything worked except the pit cushion - did not lower to protect back of machine from bowling balls. Turned machine off for the night.
